There are some awesome Christmas light displays this time of year and each city in our region has some sort of holiday event or light show for the family to enjoy. We start our tour over at Bingemans to check out The Gift of Lights!
This is a family-friendly drive-thru holiday light display with two tunnels, and over three hundred animated and static light displays!
My favourite part about this tour is that you can enjoy this holiday spectacle from inside the comfort of your own car, and you can even tune into Gift of Lights Radio at 103.3 FM to for some Christmas music on your ride
Next we head over to Victoria Park in Kitchener to find the best Christmas light displays in Kitchener Waterloo. This display lights up at 6 PM every day in December.
These beautiful lights are strung along the buildings, trees, and bridges everywhere, and strolling through the park almost makes you feel as if you’re in a movie.
Make sure you bring some hot-chocolate, it is winter in Canada after all!
Last but not least is a Waterloo Region classic the Wonders of Winter is a festival of lights in Waterloo Park.
They have over a hundred colourful light displays made up of over one hundred thousand light bulbs. The lights are on every night from five thirty to ten thirty beginning December first and running until New Year’s Day,
with special events throughout the month, including; trolley rides, an evening of stories and songs, and a visit from Santa. This park is another great place to take a winter stroll and experience some of the holiday joy.
